Executive summary
South Taranaki District Council (STDC) holds consents to cover the discharge of leachate and stormwater
from seven closed landfills. The landfills are at Kaponga and Manaia in the Waiokura catchment, Patea in the
Patea catchment, Opunake in the Otahi catchment, Hawera in the Tangahoe catchment, Otakeho in the
Taikatu catchment, and Eltham in the Waingongoro catchment.
This report for the period July 2018 to June 2019 describes the monitoring programme implemented by the
