TRC hotline and switchboard open during lockdown

The Taranaki Regional Council office is closed while the Level 4 lockdown is in force, with staff working remotely from home.

However, the switchboard remains open for general calls on 06 765 7127. In most cases calls can be put through to staff working remotely from their homes.

The environmental hotline, 0800 736 222, remains open 24/7. Please use this number to report pollution or other environmental incidents.

Staff will not conduct site visits or inspections, or attend other in-person appointments during the lockdown. Any meetings will take place only via conference call and/or audio-visual link, including the hearing on representation arrangements on Tuesday, 24 August. Anyone that wishes to 'attend' this hearing should should email media@trc.govt.nz to request the link.

Pukeiti and Hollard Gardens are closed to the public. Tūpare is open to local walkers only.

Reduced bus services are running currently for essential workers. This may change. Keep an eye on the Taranaki Public Transport Facebook page (www.facebook.com/TaranakiPublicTransport(external link)) for the latest info.

Please observe all COVID-19 Level 4 protocols to keep yourself and others safe
