Have you seen a possum in Ōakura -Kaitake? Use our online form to submit your sighting.

The Report a Possum online form was set up to provide the community with an easy way to submit their possum sightings and help our environment services team gather data on possum locations. Use the following link to Report a Possum.

How to use the Report a Possum online form

Follow these simple steps to Report a Possum using the online form:

  1. Click on the green 'Submit a Report' button at the bottom of the Report a Possum page to display the form fields.
  2. From the top, select the appropriate status from the 'Dead_Alive' dropdown list.
  3. Complete all of the required fields - Name, Phone, Email
  4. Click on the 'Browse' button to upload any photo evidence you may have of the possum or sighting - this could be possum poo, scratchings/markings on vegetation.
  5. Mark the location of your sighting by either clicking on the map or inserting the address of where the sighting occurred.
  6. Click on the 'Report it' button when you've completed all the fields.
