2 AICA (NZ) Ltd
2.1 Site description
AICA (NZ) Ltd (AICA) manufactures synthetic resins for the production of wood products at their plant
situated above a wetland area at the headwaters of the Waitaha Stream (Photo 1).

There have been a number of changes at the site over the years in order to

1.4.4 HWWTP monitoring
Physical and chemical properties of wastewater in the HWWTP were measured in order to ascertain plant
performance during the 2019-2020 monitoring period. The monitoring was undertaken by the Council and
STDC.

unnamed tributary and Kahouri Stream as they flowed through the Company’s site.
