June 2018 describes the monitoring programme implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council (the
Council) to assess Vector’s environmental and consent compliance performance during the period under
review. The report also details the results of the monitoring undertaken and assesses the environmental
effects of Vector’s activities.

held three resource consents for the subsurface injection of
fluids by DWI. The consents authorise discharges from two separate wellsites within the Company’s oil and
gas fields; the Manutahi-B and Manutahi-D wellsites, located at the end of Lower Ball Road in South
Taranaki. The consents permit the discharge of a range of fluids by DWI, including heated water and
produced water, and include a number of special conditions which the Company must satisfy.
This report covers the results and
for 878 (87%) of a total of 1007 consents monitored through the Taranaki
tailored monitoring programmes, while for another 96 (10%) of the consents a good level of environmental
performance and compliance was achieved. A further 27 (3%) of consents monitored required improvement
in their performance, while the remaining one (<1%) achieved a rating of poor.1
