the RMA (2017), amendments to the NPS-FM, including incorporation of Te Mana o te
Wai and amendments to NOF provisions, attributes and values (2017), promulgation of
the National Environmental Standard for Plantation Forestry (2017), and national
requirements for councils to set draft and final regional targets for swimmability (2018).

time, it is important to recognise any new commercial horticultural, market
gardening and forestry operations as potential target areas for sampling. It is likely
then, that future surveys will include new wells for sampling.

Advisory note: Rules 21 and 23-27 of this Plan do not apply to the discharge of water associated with plantation forestry activities regulated under the Resource Management (National Environmental Standards for
Plantation Forestry) Regulations 2017 (NES-PF). The NES-PF regulations prevail over these rules in relation to plantation forestry.22
Activity Rule
Zealand to control insects, diseases and weeds in primary industries
such as agricultural farming, forestry and horticulture (Manktelow et al., 2005). The

ingredient/ha) followed by arable, forestry and pastoral sectors (Manktelow et al., 2005).
