All Taranaki buses are now fitted with new GPS devices, which feed real-time bus arrival times through to the Transit app. Transit The Transit app allows you to journey plan in real-time. It's available on all Taranaki Regional Council operated bus services; Citylink, The Connector, Your Connector and Southlink. Buses are fitted with GPS devices which feed real-time bus arrival times through to the app.

Items of interest from today's meeting of the Council's Policy and Planning Committee: River water a nod to farmers' efforts
A NIWA study has shown that river quality in farming areas is in better shape nationally than at urban sites, with predominant signs of improvement across most measures. The study was presented at the recent Taranaki Regional Council Policy and Planning meeting, and generally rated national river health as “excellent” at natural sites, “good” at exotic forestry and
will move to a reduced timetable in coming weeks as drivers and staff become unwell or are required to self-isolate. Ms Hiestand says maintaining accessibility around the region, while keeping communities safe is a top priority for the Regional Council. “To minimise the impact of a reduced timetable as much as possible, we will prioritise services used by school children and frequencies will be reduced outside of peak times. “We are doing our best to maintain community access to essential bus
