Agrecovery undertook agricultural chemicals collections in the Taranaki region in July 2012 and November
2013. The Taranaki Regional Council and the three district councils contributed to the cost of these
collections along with brand owners and the Ministry for the Environment.

Executive summary
BTW Company Limited (BTW) manages a drilling waste landfarm on behalf of consent
Minimising Disturbance to Marine Mammals
from Seismic Survey Operations” [“The Code”], how offshore seismic is treated within
other regional council jurisdictions, and makes recommendations as to its future
treatment within the Plan.
The author’s experience and expertise in the offshore petroleum industry and its
associated environmental effects are set out in Appendix 1 to this report.
1.1 The basics of offshore seismic
Once the analysis of known geological information has
the results of the
monitoring programme implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) in
relation to the programme of hydraulic fracturing undertaken by Todd Energy Limited
(Todd), within their Mangahewa-D wellsite. The reports also assess Todd’s level of
environmental performance and compliance with the resource consents held in relation to the
activity.
Todd operate the Mangahewa-D wellsite, located at Rimutauteka Road, Inglewood. The
wellsite lies within the Waitara
also outlines the compliance monitoring programme implemented by the
Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) with regard to these activities, discusses its
results, and provides an assessment of the Company’s performance with regard to
consent compliance. The report concludes with recommendations regarding the future
monitoring of the Company’s DWI activities.
1.1.2 Structure of this report
Section 1 of this report is a background section. It sets out general information about
analysis requirements. The Council was
contracted by the Company to undertake the sampling and analysis of groundwater
required by the conditions of the exercised consent.
The following report describes the groundwater monitoring programme implemented by
the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess the potential effects of hydraulic
fracturing activities at the Mangahewa-A wellsite on groundwater resources in the area
