so there was no need for the Council to notify

2.8 The Vector flyover pipeline inspection on the 14th September 2010 did not observe
anything of concern along the pipeline easement, so it can be assumed the leak
started approximately between 14th September and 8th October.
2.9 Immediately after the leak was discovered, three pipelines located in an easement,
close to the leak point, were depressurised and use
the Taranaki
Regional Council at four regional monitoring sites located in New Plymouth- CBD, New
Plymouth- busy traffic intersection, Tariki- pristine farmland and in Stratford Township.
The main objective was to measure the concentrations of the volatile organic compounds

CONCEPT SHEET 6
Water quantity and allocation
Taranaki gets a lot of rain and it’s difficult to imagine the
region ever running out of water.
However, there is growing demand for water from large-scale
petrochemical, dairy and meat processing operations, as well
as from agriculture for pasture irrigation. So we must pay
careful attention to how water is allocated, particularly during
drier periods and droughts, when water
report should not be used to refer to site conditions and
environmental standards applying at a later date without first confirming the validity of the report’s information at
that time.
This report has been prepared by PDP on the specific instructions of Taranaki Regional Council for the limited
purposes described in the report. PDP accepts no liability if the report is used for a different purpose or if it is used
