1.2 Purpose
The purpose of this Plan is to assist the Taranaki
Regional Council to carry out its functions under the
Act to promote the sustainable management of the
air resource of the Taranaki region.
1.3 Operative date
This Regional Air Quality Plan is the second regional
policy statement to be prepared by the Taranaki
Regional Council and became operative on 25 July
