opening of the new Members
Lodge in October last year. Since then, garden staff have filled in and raised up the lawn in front of the Lodge, and
planting is ongoing around the Lodge. The Valley of the Giants has had a thorough tidy up and is looking quite
magnificent – come visit this Spring and see for yourself! Month on month, visitor numbers to Pukeiti still
continue to grow, with an estimated 85,000 people visiting in the last twelve months.

farm. They also store agricultural remedy and dairy hygiene product
containers until a collection event, or until another recycling solution is

What used to happen
With different groups making use of Puniho Pā at different times, there
was no consistent approach to waste minimisation or recycling. Sorting
rubbish, recycling and composting were at the discretion of the whānau
or group involved in each hui or wānanga.

ALL of our urban buses, operating on routes 1-11, 20 and 40,
are now Super Low Floor and wheelchair-accessible.
However, if your wheelchair
takes up a space of more than 700mm wide and 1200mm long, and/or
has a combined weight (wheelchair and passenger) of more than 240kgs,
it cannot be carried due to health and safety considerations for wheelchair
users, bus drivers and other
