Reduction Plan targets a 41% reduction in
transport emissions by 2035. We’re starting to
adapt to this target with the switch to more fuel-
efficient diesel buses and next up will be looking
into moving to the use of alternative fuels for the
fleet.
The big challenge remains getting ‘bums on
seats’, particularly on the services provided
around New Plymouth. To address this, we’re
looking to put on more frequent services,
improved technology such as real-time tracking
of services and working
have been suspended until the roadworks are
complete. The buses are still being utilised to get OMV staff through to Oanui.

Once the driver has lowered the ramp, you should be capable of boarding/disembarking
and paying your fare independently. If this is not possible you must be accompanied by
a support person to provide the necessary assistance.
Once you have boarded the bus you should ensure that your wheelchair is safely
positioned in the designated area, facing towards the rear of the bus with the safety bar

services operating within New Plymouth.
6.6 The Your Connector services for Dialog were postponed due to the SH3 roadworks.
This has now been rescheduled to start on Monday. One of the buses was utilised to
transport staff from New Plymouth to the OMV site. There has been more interest in
these types of services from large organisations in Taranaki.
