period under review were carried out in accordance with Rule 38 of the
Interim Coastal Plan for Taranaki, and the associated Coastal Structure Maintenance Guidelines (prepared to
assist with safe planning of maintenance works with regards to nesting Kororā (Little Blue Penguin; TRC,
2022). As part of the maintenance planning phase, trained penguin detection dog surveys were carried out
to identify potential burrows in November 2020 and November 2021.
As per the revised monitoring
is to achieve the purpose of the Resource Management Act 1991 by providing an overview of the resource management issues of the region and the policies and methods that will be adopted to address those issues.
The Regional Policy Statement (RPS) has a ten year life with an interim review after five years. The statement was prepared pursuant to the statutory process outlined in the Resource Management Act 1991. This involved a full public consultative procedure. Discussion documents

Emergency Joint Committee (JC)), to commence an interim review and update of the
current Taranaki Civil Defence Emergency Management (CDEM) Group plan.

That the Taranaki Civil Defence Emergency Management Joint
finalisation of the 2020-2021 Lower Ecological Survey, Fish
Transfer Report, and the third Interim Dissolved Oxygen; enforcement action may be necessary if it is found
that all steps required for the review of these reports was not completed. The 2021-2022 Fish Transfer
Report was finalised at the time of writing this report which is a significant improvement given the
additional requirements of the related Abatement Notice issued the previous year. The Final Dissolved
Oxygen Report is still to go
