Networks
Programme to deliver the safety objectives within the GPS, including acceleration of the
implementation of the Speed Management Guide.
2. In particular, GPS 2018 supports investment in state highways and local roads to accelerate
the implementation of the new Speed Management Guide, focusing on treating the top 10
percent of the network which will result in the greatest reduction in death and serious injury as
quickly as possible. This Guide was developed to provide a nationally
untreated wood waste landfill located on Bristol Road at
Inglewood, in the Waitara catchment. The sole source of the wood waste is from the Company’s sawmilling
operation in Inglewood. The Company sells most of its woodchip and sawdust as calf litter. The remaining
material consisting of bark, soil and soiled woodchip/sawdust is sent to the Bristol Road site for disposal.
This report for the period July 2016 to June 2017 describes the monitoring programme implemented by the
Taranaki Regional
crushing shell rock quarry located on
Rangitatau West Road at Maxwell, in the Waitotara catchment two kilometres from the
Makokako Stream. It operates on a commercial basis.
This report for the period July 2009-June 2013 describes the monitoring programme
implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council to assess the Company’s environmental
performance during the period under review, and the results and environmental effects of
the Company’s activities.
The Company held two resource consents

Introduction 2.1
Process description 2.1.1
The purpose of the plant is to produce asphalt for use on roads and driveways etc. A
permanent drum mix plant has replaced the batch plant and mobile plant that were
formerly in use at the site.
The asphalt production is achieved by the following processes. The plant is a parallel-
flow drum mix plant consisting of a rotary drum [which is used to both dry and heat
the aggregate and to mix the hot aggregate with bitumen], a dual fuel burner and
