The
number of open landfills in the district steadily decreased over a number of years and there have been no
operating landfills in the South Taranaki district since the Patea landfill closed in 2007.
Currently the only general municipal landfill in operation in the Taranaki region is the Colson Road landfill,
which is operated by the New Plymouth District Council as a regional facility.

Do you think the Council should go ahead with the proposed trial predator control programme, to be

Thus, the findings of the macroinvertebrate monitoring programme demonstrate that the
Council and regional community are meeting the Long Term Plan (LTP) target, to maintain
