There will be four new faces around the Taranaki Regional Council table after the confirmation of the 2022 local election results.
The final results announced by the Electoral Office [PDF, 464 KB] confirm the re-election of seven councillors to the governance team who are joined by newly elected members Susan Hughes, Donna Cram, Alan Jamieson and Bonita Bigham.
The councillors for the next three years are confirmed as:
New Plymouth General Constituency:

Tom Cloke
Craig Williamson
David Lean
North Taranaki General Constituency:
Mike Davey
Donald McIntyre
Stratford General Constituency:
Alan Jamieson
South Taranaki General Constituency:
Neil Walker
Donna Cram
Taranaki Māori Constituency:
Bonita Bigham
The 11 elected members will make the strategic decisions and set the long-term priorities as the Council continues to take Taranaki forward by improving lifestyles and supporting livelihoods.
They will be sworn in at a Council meeting at 1pm on 26 October where a new chairperson will be elected for the triennium. The meeting will be held at the Council, 47 Cloten Road, Stratford and is open to the public.
