Executive summary
New Plymouth District Council (NPDC) operates five water supply schemes in the New Plymouth District.
This report for the period July 2021 to June 2022 describes the monitoring programme implemented by the
Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess NPDC’s environmental and consent compliance
performance during the period under review. The report also details the results of the monitoring
undertaken and assesses the environmental effects of NPDC’s
years ago. The stockpiling facility was decommissioned during this monitoring period, however all
consents remain active. The consent for stockpiling waste may be surrendered at any time. A soil sampling
and validation programme must be conducted before the landspreading consent may be surrendered.
