the period July 2015 to June 2016 by the Taranaki Regional Council
(the Council) on the monitoring programme associated with the resource consent held
by Taranaki Thoroughbred Racing (TTR). TTR operates a race track and associated
facilities on Coronation Avenue, New Plymouth. The site is located within the Te
Henui catchment. Consent 7470-1.1 authorises the abstraction of up to 500 m3/day of
groundwater from a production bore at the site, at a rate not exceeding 10 L/s.
The report
Energy Resources Limited operates a gas production station located on Inaha Road at
Manaia, in the Inaha catchment. This report for the period July 2012-June 2013 describes the
monitoring programme implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council to assess the
Company’s environmental performance during the period under review, and the results and
environmental effects of the Company’s activities.
The Company holds a total of nine resource consents, which include a total of 112 conditions
setting
supply scheme located
on Cold Creek, Kiri Road, in the Taungatara catchment. The report for the period July 2016 to June 2017
describes the monitoring programme implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess
CCCWSL’s environmental and consent compliance performance during the period under review. The report
also details the results of the monitoring undertaken and assesses the environmental effects of the
Company’s activities.

melting and extrusion plant
located at Bell Block, in the Mangaone and Mangati catchments. Processing of copper and
brass (copper/zinc) at the metal melting and extrusion plant ceased in June 2002 and January
2003 respectively. The Company holds resource consents to allow it to discharge into the
Mangaone and Mangati streams, and to discharge emissions into the air. This report for the

Introduction
This report is the Annual Report for the period July 2014-June 2015 by the Taranaki
Regional Council (the Council) on the monitoring programme associated with resource
consents for the Mangorei Hydroelectric Power Scheme (HEPS) operated originally by
Taranaki Energy Ltd, then by Powerco Ltd, and more recently by Trustpower Ltd (the
Company).
This report covers the results and findings of the monitoring programme implemented
by the Council in respect of the consents that relate to
appropriate for each activity. Monitoring programmes are not
only based on existing permit conditions but also on the obligations of the RMA to
assess the effects of the exercise of consents. In accordance with section 35 of the RMA
the Council undertakes compliance monitoring for consents and rules in regional plans
and maintains an overview of the performance of resource users and consent holders.
Compliance monitoring, including both activity and impact monitoring, enables the
Council to
implemented by the
Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) with regard to these activities, discusses its
results, and provides an assessment of the Company’s performance with regard to
consent compliance. The report concludes with recommendations regarding the
future monitoring of the Company’s DWI activities.
