1. Taranaki Regional Council (Council) is processing an application by Trustpower to
replace the resource consents (the expired consents) that enable the operation of
the Motukawa Hydroelectric Power Scheme

To temporarily divert an unnamed tributary of the
Huatoki Stream Water Permit 377 Frankley Road, Frankleigh Park Huatoki

To install, use and remove a temporary culvert in an
unnamed tributary of the Huatoki Stream Land Use
Regional Council (the Council) to assess the Company’s environmental and consent compliance
performance during the period under review. The report also details the results of the monitoring
undertaken and assesses the environmental effects of the Company’s activities.
The Company holds three resource consents related to this report, which include a total of 29 conditions
setting out the requirements that the Company must satisfy. The Company holds one consent to dredge
accumulated sediments
Executive summary
Remediation New Zealand Ltd (the Company) operates a composting facility and worm farm which
produces vermicast. It is located on State Highway 3, Mokau Road, Uruti, Taranaki.
During the monitoring period, the Company demonstrated an overall poor level of environmental
and administrative performance.
This report for the period July 2021 to June 2022 describes the monitoring programme implemented by the
Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess the Company’s
period, the Company demonstrated an overall good level of environmental
performance and an overall improvement required level of administrative performance.
