operates two quarries in Taranaki. One is located off York Road in
the Waitara catchment; and the other is located off Toko Road in the Patea catchment. Both
operate on a commercial basis.
This report for the period July 2013-June 2014 describes the monitoring programme
implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council to assess the Company’s environmental
performance and environmental effects of the Company’s activities.
Vickers Quarries Ltd holds a total of four resource consents to cover
report by the Taranaki Regional Council
(the Council) to be prepared for the monitoring programme in the Waitaha Stream catchment. Twelve
industrial premises were monitored under this programme during the year under review. The monitoring
reflects an on-going process of identifying and improving discharges into the catchment in a similar manner
to the management of those in the neighbouring Mangati Stream catchment.
A total of 17 consents were included in the monitoring programme during the
Taranaki
Regional Council describing the monitoring programme associated with resource
consents held by Wai-iti Motor Camp Limited. The Company operates a camping
ground situated on both sides of the Wai-iti Stream in North Taranaki (Photographs
1, 2).
This report covers the results and findings of the monitoring programme
implemented by the Council in respect of the consent held by Wai-iti Motor Camp
Limited that relates to septic tank treated sewage effluent to groundwater via
soakage
scheme, it does not guarantee
travel. Factors outside of the control of the NZ Transport Agency may influence the availability
of users to travel, such as individual regional council policies on subsidising out-of-town travel.
In addition, while the scheme has widespread support, individual transport operators may
