Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess STDC’s
environmental performance during the period under review, and the results and the
environmental effects of STDC’s activities at the Eltham, Manaia, Hawera, Opunake,
Kaponga, Otakeho and Patea landfills.
During the monitoring period, STDC demonstrated an overall high level of
environmental performance.
In relation to its closed landfills STDC hold 10 resource consents consisting of eight
discharge of stormwater and/or leachate to
Mountain and Manutahi Roads, in the
Waiongana catchment. This report for the period July 2013-June 2014 describes the
monitoring programme implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council to assess the
Company’s environmental performance during the period under review, and the results and
environmental effects of the Company’s activities.
During the monitoring period, the Company demonstrated an overall high level of
environmental performance and compliance with the resource consents.
The
operates a number of wellsites
within the Taranaki region, most notably their Manutahi, Rimu and Kauri wellsites, located
between Hawera and Patea. Each wellsite contains varying numbers of producing wells and
associated production infrastructure. This report for the period July 2015 to June 2016
describes the monitoring programme implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council (the
Council) in relation to the Company’s deep well injection (DWI) activities. The report details
the results of the
Regional Air Quality Plan.
This report for the period July 2015 to June 2016 describes the monitoring programme
implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess the environmental
performance during the period under review, and the results and effects of the consent
holder’s activities, particularly the environmental improvements associated with recent major
modifications to the disposal system.
This report also records the state of riparian planting and channel
to land for the
purposes of dune stabilisation at Albany Road, Patea in the Patea catchment.
Green waste from a Hawera based contractor is transported to the site and discharged over
areas of sandy pasture that have undergone aeolian erosion. The green waste helps trap soil
and sand and upon decomposition, adds nutrients and condition to the sandy soils.
This report for the period July 2012-June 2013 describes the monitoring programme
implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council to
to disturb the bed of Lake Ratapiko. This report for the
period July 2010-June 2014 describes the monitoring programme implemented by the
Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess Trustpower’s environmental performance
during the period under review, and the results and environmental effects of their activities.
Trustpower holds a total of 23 resource consents, which include a total of 176 conditions
setting out the requirements that the Company must satisfy. The Company holds five
Regulations during forthcoming
monitoring periods.
It is important to note that inspections carried out by the Council identified that many
flowmeter installations across the region are sub-standard, compromising the accuracy of the
abstraction data being recorded. Irrigators and the Council need to be confident that their
equipment will work accurately and effectively, therefore it is preferred that a reputable
contractor be hired for the installation water measuring and recording equipment.
