CHAIRMAN AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE’S
REPORT
It is our pleasure to present the Taranaki
Regional Council’s 2014/2015 Annual Report.
The Council’s mission is to work for a thriving and
prosperous region, and now more than ever it’s important
not to lose sight of that goal.
Preparation of this Annual Report has been an opportunity
to assess progress and consider the way ahead. This
introduction and the graphics on pages 6 to 9 offer a brief

No consent may be granted for a prohibited activity
and such activities cannot be carried out under any
circumstances.
Note: an activity or premises may involve more than
one type of discharge to air. Different rules and
classifications may apply to each type of discharge. All
rules relating to particular activities or premises must
be complied with.

The Taranaki Regional Council may

• Work collaboratively with Council Compliance Officers to enforce
actions where required.
• Provide advice, information and expertise to Council Compliance
Officers, assisting them with the collection of evidence to conduct

regional rules relating to all waterbodies and intensive winter grazing
when appropriate.

a) takes as read and confirms the minutes and resolutions of the Policy and Planning
Committee of the Taranaki Regional Council held in the Taranaki Regional
Council Boardroom, 47 Cloten Road, Stratford on Tuesday 15 March 2022 at
10.30am
b) notes the recommendations therein were adopted by the Taranaki Regional
Council on Tuesday 5 April 2022.

Matters arising
1.1 Councillor C L Littlewood noted in the minutes
remains vacant until the Trust’s Annual General Meeting in October
2016 whereby an election will be held to fill the vacancy.
The Trust Board met eight times during 2015/2016 to develop strategy, set the direction,
approve plans and progress the building of a strong foundation for the future. My personal
thanks goes to Leigh Honnor, Regional Biodiversity Co-ordinator, for all her hard work in
this area. Thanks also to the Taranaki Regional Council for hosting the majority of our
