General description
The Frankley School Bush is essentially a semi-coastal forest remnant of around
3.5 hectares and is not too distant from the more substantial reserves at Barrett
Domain and Ratapihipihi. The forest consists of a varied range of discrete habitat
and vegetation types. These range from some low lying flatter areas, rolling and
compliance was achieved.1
1.2 Process description
1.2.1 Stratford water supply
The municipal water supply is extracted from the Patea River (main supply) and the Konini Stream (auxiliary
supply) by means of weirs on these watercourses. At the Cardiff Road WTP, water is filtered using membrane
filters and then treated with chlorine and fluoride for domestic supply before being pumped to a nearby
reservoir. The water supply is reticulated to approximately 2,300 separate customers.

1.1.1 Introduction
This report provides the combined Annual Reports for the period July 2010-June
2013 by the Taranaki Regional Council describing the results of the monitoring
programme associated with an air discharge permit held by New Plymouth District
Council (NPDC) to cover emissions to air from NPDC’s crematorium on Junction
Road (State Highway 3) at New Plymouth.
Since 1 October 1991, with the enactment of the Resource Management Act (1991),

dominate the low-lying
coast from Pātea Beach to the southern extent of the region. Cliff-top dunes are also a
unique feature of the Taranaki coastline.
The coastline is noted for high quality surf breaks. This is particularly evident along the
stretch of coast from Kaihihi Road to Stent Road, where finger like lahar deposits form
offshore reef systems, creating a high concentration of quality surf breaks.
