the monitoring programme associated with resource consents held by Silver Fern Farms Ltd (the
Company). The Company operates a meat processing plant situated on Wai-inu Beach Road at Waitōtara, in
the Waitōtara catchment. The monitoring period coincides with the plant’s processing season.
The report includes the results and findings of the monitoring programme implemented by the Council in
respect of the consents held by the Company that relate to abstraction of water, discharge of wastes
to be negligible. Therefore, it is reasonable to assume
that the temporal variations in ammonia attribute states at the Punehu Stream at Wiremu Road and Pātea
River at Barclay Road Bridge sites (PNH000200 and PAT000200, respectively), and DRP attribute states at the
Stony River at Mangatete Road, River at Barclay Road Bridge and Manganui River Upstream of Railbridge
sites (STY000300, PAT000200, MGN000195, respectively) are the result of natural variability.
Four sites in the
Council:
a) took as read and confirmed the minutes of the Policy and Planning Committee of
the Taranaki Regional Council held at 10.30 on 10 October 2023 at Taranaki
Regional Council 47 Cloten Road Stratford
b) noted the recommendations therein were adopted by the Taranaki Regional
Council on Tuesday 31 October 2023.
