3. Submission on the National Road Safety Strategy 2020-2030
3.1 Mr M J Neild, Director – Corporate Services, spoke to the memorandum seeking formal
endorsement of the regional submission on the draft 2020-2030 National Road Safety
Strategy: Road to Zero, which was previously circulated by email to
Waitara/Urenui in the north, to Levin in the south, and to
Woodville in the east.
Numerous roads throughout the affected area were damaged, and many closed by
landslides and flooding. A state of emergency was declared in Wanganui, Taranaki and
Rangitikei. Several townships were isolated by floodwaters, including Waitotara (60 homes
evacuated), Whangaehu, and Koitiata near the mouth of the Turakina River. Residents along
the river in Wanganui were flooded, with around 400 people evacuated. The
Manutahi-D wellsites, located at the end of Lower Ball Road in South
Taranaki. The consents permit the discharge of a range of fluids by DWI, including heated water and
produced water, and include a number of special conditions which the Company must satisfy.
This report covers the results and findings of the monitoring programme implemented by the Council in
respect of the DWI consents held by the Company. This is the seventh report to be prepared by the Council
to cover the Company’s DWI

Council (the Council) for the period July 2013 – June 2014 to assess BTW Company Limited's
landfarming facility located on Brown Road at Waitara, in the Waiongana catchment. The
report records the landfarm's environmental performance during the period under review,
and the results and environmental effects of the Company’s activities for the landfarm as a
whole.
The Company holds two resource consents, which include a total of 55 conditions setting out
the
Partnership) operates a cleanfill located on Rainie Road at Hawera, in the Inaha
catchment. The cleanfill material discharged at the site is predominantly construction and demolition waste.
This is not typical for cleanfills in the region, which normally only accept minor amounts of acceptable
materials from this type of waste stream.
This report for the period July 2021 to June 2022 describes the monitoring programme implemented by the
Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess the

Representative, clarified that the assessments undertaken for environmental effects for
incidents of a digger in a river on Weld Road and a hydrocarbon discharge at Port
Taranaki were both visual assessments. An incident report provided by Port Taranaki
will be emailed to Ms E Bailey.
3.5 Councillors D N MacLeod and C L Littlewood declared a conflict of interest in relation to
Port Taranaki Limited.
Recommended
That the Taranaki Regional Council:
from Maui-B is piped 15 km to Maui-A for initial separation, and then to the
production station.
The Maui Production Station separates the various hydrocarbon components, mainly by distillation. The
production station supplies natural gas to the national grid and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is transported
off-site by road tankers. Condensate is piped to storage tanks at Omata.
Facilities at the Maui Production Station include: an administration building and workshop which
