In relation to the operation of the NPWWTP, NPDC holds six resource consents, which include a total of 72
conditions setting out the requirements that NPDC must satisfy. NPDC holds one consent to discharge
treated wastewater into the Tasman Sea, one consent to discharge sludge leachate to

Managing diffuse-source discharges to land and water in Taranaki - Taranaki Regional Council
period ending 30 June 2015, there is a total of 136 km of the 139 km of
Mangawhero Stream banks (upstream of the Mangawharawhara Stream confluence)
adequately fenced and 21 km with riparian vegetation. A further 3 km (fencing) and 10
km (vegetation) have been recommended within riparian farm plans for completion.
Correspondingly, 54 km (fencing) and 31 km (vegetated) of the 72 km of
