1 Introduction
1.1 Compliance monitoring programme reports and the Resource
Management Act 1991
1.1.1 Introduction
This report is for the period July 2016 to June 2017 by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) on the
monitoring programme associated with resource consents held by South Taranaki
Paritutu Road, New Plymouth, in the Herekawe catchment. This report for the period July 2017 to
June 2018 describes the monitoring programme implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council (the
Council) to assess the Company’s environmental and consent compliance performance during the period
under review. The report also details the results of the monitoring undertaken and assesses the
environmental effects of the Company’s activities.
The Company holds two resource consents, which include a

of the various companies operating in and around Port Taranaki, New Plymouth. Port Taranaki Ltd operates

storage facility at

environmental effects of the Company’s activities.
The Company holds two resource consents, which include a total of 22 conditions setting out
the requirements that the Company must satisfy. The Company holds resource consent
0351-3 to allow the discharge of treated effluent to land and into Rumkeg Creek and consent
5249-2 to allow the discharge of emissions into
period July 2014 to September 2014. During this period the
Puka-3 well was drilled, plugged and abandoned.
During the monitoring period, Kea Petroleum demonstrated a high level of
environmental performance for the Puka-3 well at the Puka A wellsite.
This report for Kea Petroleum Limited describes the monitoring programme implemented
by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess Kea Petroleum Limited’s
environmental performance in relation to drilling operations at the Puka A
Quality Plan,
the monitored operation of the plant had found no odour issues, and very few complaints
had occurred in recent years. This report for the period July 2013 to June 2014 describes the
monitoring programme implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council to assess the
environmental performance during the period under review, and the results and effects of
the consent holder’s activities, particularly the environmental improvements associated with
recent major modifications to the disposal
Mountain Road at Midhirst, in the Manganui catchment. Transfer of consents between the
two parties became effective on 1 December 2012. NZ Pure Bred Genetics Ltd ( the Company)
specialises in growing 8 to 10 weeks old weaners for the market and do not grow fattening
pigs at the piggery. Significantly less effluent is produced by not growing fattening pigs.
