Regional Council (the Council) adopted a water
management plan for the river in September 1991.
At the end of the 2015-2016 monitoring period a total of 22 consents were held by the 14
industries monitored under this programme that discharge wastewater, stormwater and/or
leachate from the industrial area at Fitzroy, New Plymouth to the lower Waiwhakaiho River
and Mangaone Stream, or to land in the lower Waiwhakaiho and Mangaone Stream
catchments. The activities and impacts of the consent
saline groundwater into the Tikorangi and Matemateaonga Formations. The consents
include a number of special conditions, setting out specific requirements with which
the Company must comply.
The following report provides details of the DWI consents held by the Company
during the period under review, and outlines their DWI activities during this period.
The report also outlines the compliance monitoring programme implemented by the

activity. Monitoring programmes are not only based on existing permit conditions, but also on the
obligations of the RMA to assess the effects of the exercise of consents. In accordance with Section 35 of
the RMA, the Council undertakes compliance monitoring for consents and rules in regional plans, and
maintains an overview of the performance of resource users and consent holders. Compliance monitoring,
including both activity and impact monitoring, enables the
manufacturing complex located on
Domett Street at Waitara, in the Waitara River catchment. This report for the period July
2013-June 2014 describes the monitoring programme implemented by the Taranaki Regional
Council (the Council) to assess the Company’s environmental performance during the
period under review. The report details the results of the monitoring undertaken and
assesses the environmental effects of ANZCO’s activities.
ANZCO holds three resource consents, which include a total of 19
KA6/11/17 wellsites, respectively.
The consents were issued by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) on 28 March 2012
(7995-1 and 7996-1) and 5 April 2012 (7998-1). Each consent contains a total of 14 special
conditions which set out the requirements that STOS must satisfy.
