Our rivers and streams are vital to the well-being, livelihood and lifestyle of
everyone in the region. As the manager of the freshwater resource, the
Taranaki Regional Council closely monitors waterway quality to ensure that
fact and science can feed into public discussion as well as into
South Taranaki District Council (STDC) operates eight wastewater treatment plant
(WWTP) systems within the district of South Taranaki. This report addresses performances of
four of these systems, located in the Waverley, Kaponga, Manaia and Patea townships1.
This report for the period July 2015 to June 2016 describes the monitoring programme
implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess STDC’s environmental
performance during the period under review. The report also

Regional Council (the Council) to assess the Company’s environmental performance during
the period under review, the results of Council’s monitoring activities, and the environmental
effects of the Company’s activities. This is the ninth compliance monitoring report on the
Company’s activities at the Monk Road and Village Settlement Road sites.
The Company holds a total of four resource consents, which include a

located on Tisch Avenue, New Plymouth. This report for the period July 2016 to June 2017 describes the
monitoring programme implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess NPDC’s
environmental performance during the period under review. The report also details the results of the
monitoring undertaken and assesses the environmental effects of the Aquatic Centre’s activities.
NPDC holds two resource consents relating to the Aquatic
the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess TAG Oil (NZ) Limited’s
environmental performance in relation to drilling operations at the Cheal-E wellsite during
the period under review, and the results and environmental effects of TAG Oil (NZ)
Limited’s activities.
TAG Oil (NZ) Limited holds five resource consents for the activities at the Cheal-E wellsite,
which include a total of 63 consent conditions setting out the requirements that TAG Oil
(NZ) Limited must satisfy. TAG Oil
operates an ammonia urea
manufacturing plant located near Kapuni, in the Kapuni Stream catchment. This report for
the period July 2015-June 2016 describes the monitoring programmes implemented by the
Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess the Company’s environmental
performance during the period under review. The report also details the results of the
monitoring undertaken and assesses the environmental effects of the Company’s activities.
The Company holds a total of seven resource

performance in relation to drilling operations at the Mangahewa-D wellsite during the
period under review, and the results and environmental effects of Todd Energy Limited’s

During the monitoring period, Todd Energy demonstrated a high level of environmental
performance at the Mangahewa wellsite.
