leachate generated on site converge, the discharges cannot be
meaningfully separated. No rules within the RFWP specifically provide for the
discharge of leachate and, as such, the discharge of leachate and stormwater onto and
into land [where contaminants may enter water], and into water, fall for consideration
under Rules 44 and 43 [respectively] of the RFWP as discretionary activities.

yield and order for each REC class, which is influenced by the amount of data (viz. contributing sites)
within each class. The REML model does not produce a coefficient of determination that can be used
to check of the goodness of fit of the model. However, goodness of fit was assessed using the
frequency with which observed yields fall within the mean yield estimated by the model and 95%
confidence interval for a class.

results fell into the MfE
‘Excellent’ air quality category. Three of the four
benzene results were within the MfE ‘Acceptable’
category. One result fell within the ‘Good’ category.
The Council also monitors for VOCs around
significant potential sources, such as gas production
stations, as part consent compliance programmes.
Results always fall well within guideline values.

had been repaired was inspected and the repair appeared to be
satisfactory. Recent heavy rains had brought the fluid level up to the repair. Surface
oils were observed to have wind blown to the eastern side of the cell. The north
western cell was perceived to contain mainly storm water with a small volume of
emulsified surface oils. The north eastern cell seemed to have plenty of free-board
available and a small volume of surface oils at the eastern end, the liner appeared in
good shape.
