Mangati Stream, Bell Block.
The Mangati catchment has, in the past, been heavily utilised for the disposal of stormwater and
wastewaters from a large number of industrial sites. As a consequence of inadequate treatment and
management of discharges and minimal dilution capacity in the past, the water quality and aquatic
ecosystems of the stream were

Executive summary
The Waiwhakaiho airshed in the Fitzroy area of New Plymouth is the location of
formulating and packaging facility located at Paritutu Road, New Plymouth, in the Herekawe
catchment. The Company holds resource consents to allow it to discharge stormwater into the
Herekawe Stream, and to discharge emissions into the air. This report for the period July 2013-
June 2014 describes the monitoring programme implemented by the Taranaki Regional
Council to assess the Company’s environmental performance during the period under review,
and the results and effects of the Company’s
waste discharged
at both sites originates from the Company’s sawmill in Waverley. This report for the period
July 2015 to June 2016 describes the monitoring programme implemented by the Taranaki
Regional Council (the Council) to assess the Company’s environmental performance during
the period under review. The report also details the results of the monitoring undertaken and
assesses the environmental effects of the Company’s activities. This is the tenth compliance
monitoring report on the
Regional Council
(the Council) on the monitoring programme associated with the resource consents held
by Hickman JD 1997 Family Trust (the Company). The Company operates a road
transport depot situated on Waitara Road at Brixton, Waitara.
The report includes the results and findings of the monitoring programme
implemented by the Council in respect of the consent held by the Company that relates
to the discharge of water within the Waiongana catchment. This is the seventh annual
report to be
located at
Urenui Beach Motor Camp and Onaero Bay Motor Camp. NPDC holds resource consents to
allow it to discharge septic tank treated sewage to groundwater via infiltration trenches at
each of the motor camps. This report for the period July 2012-June 2014 describes the
monitoring programme implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council to assess NPDC’s
environmental performance during the period under review, and the results and effects of
its activities.
NPDC holds one resource consent per
programme implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess the
Company’s environmental performance during the period under review. The report also
details the results of the monitoring undertaken and assesses the environmental effects of the
Company’s activities. Note that the Company took over the site and resource consents from
Gold International Meat Processors in January 2016 and though this reporting period is for
July 2015 to June 2016, only monitoring from January 2016
Waiteika Road,
Opunake, in the Waiteika catchment. Here, quarrying activity involves extracting rock and
gravels from lahar mounds from various locations across the site. This report for the period
July 2013–June 2015 describes the monitoring programme implemented by the Taranaki
Regional Council (the Council) to assess the Company’s environmental performance during
the period under review, and the results and environmental effects of the Company’s
activities.
The Company holds one resource
(the Company) operates an ammonia urea manufacturing plant located
near Kapuni, in the Kapuni Stream catchment. This report for the period July 2017 to June 2018 describes
the monitoring programmes implemented by the Taranaki Regional Council (the Council) to assess the
Company’s environmental and consent compliance performance during the period under review. The report
also details the results of the monitoring undertaken and assesses the environmental effects of the
Company’s activities.
