transects, Ben Plummer from Drone Technologies NZ
mapped seagrass from the air, providing impressive spatial
coverage of the reef. The two methods combined
provide a powerful approach for monitoring seagrass.

2.2 Location
The site where the activities take place is located on State Highway 3 (1460 Mokau Road) approximately 2
kilometres south of the Uruti Village and lies within the catchment of the Haehanga Stream, which is a
