14 A substantial portion of entries recording odour (44%) were identified as not
being aligned with conditions conducive to odour propagation from the site.
Most often this was due to the entries being made while the observation
address
level of environmental performance during the 2015-2016
year. Of the 20 consents for which compliance and environmental performance could be
categorised, 2 (10%) were rated ‘improvement required’ and 18 (90%) were rated ‘high’.
The site was generally well managed, however, two incidents resulted from procedural issues
that have now been addressed. Water abstraction limits were adhered to. The stormwater
system performed well and no impacts were detected in the receiving environments. There
an infringement notice issued as a result of one of the complaints
received about the site.
During the year, TBS Coatings Limited demonstrated a good level of environmental
performance and a high level of administrative performance with the resource consent. An
exceedance of the dust deposition rate was observed in two of the six gauges deployed, which
may have been the result of re-suspended yard dust. The Company undertook a site clean up
as a result of this non-compliance. No
